Become a Museum Volunteer!The Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum relies on the contributions of our volunteers who provide their time and service to help support museum initiatives and welcomes all individuals interested in furthering the goals of the museum.
Our Volunteers:
Assist in the educational aspects of the museum by providing a resource for students, local and international visitors through the collection, preservation, exhibition and content-based interpretation of culturally significant aboriginal materials; Assist in the daily running and overall function of the museum through the maintenance and running of the gift shop, greeting visitors and handling admissions, and providing a friendly face to answer questions about the local area.
What is a Volunteer?
A volunteer is a person who gives their time, efforts and skills to help others without any implied promise of remuneration. People volunteer at museums for many reasons including: gaining work experience, skill building, becoming part of the community, they believe in the cause, they want to meet people, they want to experience other cultures and learn more about local history.

Collections Assistance
Exhibition and Research
Building Maintenance
We are currently seeking interested individuals who enjoy meeting the public and are itching at the opportunity to combine their wonderful skills of storytelling with their love of history, to volunteer as museum tour guides for our visitors! Tours begin late April!
