Personal information refers to information about an individual and can include such things as name, home address and phone number, email address, age, sex, and marital status. Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum only collects information voluntarily given by the individuals when they visit in person, mail in a form, request a service over the telephone, visit the website to make a transaction, or provide details upon a visit made to your home by a museum employee.
Use or Disclosure of Personal Information
The Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum collects only the personal information needed for various purposes specific to our organization. These may include: providing a tax receipt and/or thank you letter for a charitable donation; contacting you for fund-raising purposes; sending you invitations or notifications about upcoming museum exhibits or events, and sending you our newsletter.
Personal information is used or disclosed for the purpose for which the information was collected. However, if we would like to use any information you have given us for another business purpose, we will inform you and give you the option to either decline or accept use of your personal information for another purpose.
Safeguarding and Disposal of Personal Information
The Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum does not sell or share any mailing lists. Any external bodies which we may contract to assist with fund-raising or marketing initiatives, are required not to sell or share our mailing lists, and to use your personal information only for the purpose for which they have been contracted for.

Credit card number and information required to make a payment by mail or telephone, is not kept permanently on file.
Access to Your Personal Information Any individual who has provided personal information to the Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum, may have their information corrected or updated, and may ask to be removed from mailing or telephone lists.
