Musuem Backs Tipi of Courage
Banff’s Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum is donating a portion of the sales in its gift shop this holiday season to an innovative, award-winning program that aims to halt the spread of HIV/AIDS in the aboriginal communities.
From Dec. 10 to 24 the museum is offering a 15 per cent discount on selected items in its gift shop and dedicating 10 per cent of all of its gift shop sales to the Tipi of Courage, recipient of the Red Cross’s 2005 Prix D’Excellence Humanitarian Service Award.
