The Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum is dedicated to the appreciation, interpretation, demonstration and display of the cultures, traditions, and values of the First Nations of North America and their trading partners. The museum seeks to show how the people of this land lived and adapted to their surroundings and each other prior to contact with European culture, and how they continued to adapt after European influences.The Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum tells the story of the First Nations people of the Plains through interpretive exhibitions, artifacts, and dioramas.

The Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum has the responsibility to our cultural communities, to provide knowledge and understanding of First Nations culture by providing meaningful, thoughtful exhibits and continue building upon existing partnerships while forging new collaborations.
